MEDIA ARTS TRACK CLASSES
Graphic Design
This course is designed to teach some of the fundamentals and practical aspects of Graphic Design while discussing its role in the ministry of the Church and the importance of being servant-hearted. We will be looking at how Graphic Design is used within the Church to promote events, draw attention to ministries, as well as its uses in church services, including posters, flyers, web & social media, logo design, screen graphics, and more. Instruction focus on Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign design softwares.
Design Software Lab
The goal of this course is to gain a more in depth knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
Recording Studio Techniques
This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of recording as well as the importance of signal flow. We will discuss the importance of being a humble, Godly servant and how it can make or break a session. We will learn about signal flow, trouble shooting, setting up a recording session, what microphones to use on various instruments, reverb, EQ, compression, exporting your finished song to a AIFF, WAVE or mp3, and more.
Photography & Videography
Video is a massive, driving force that has the potential to impact millions. Unfortunately, the vast reach of this form of content is often being used to spread ideas rooted in darkness. We will be learning how to use photography and videography as powerful tools to create an impact for Christ by growing in knowledge and experience.
Adobe Premiere / After Effects Labs
A more in depth look at Adobe Premiere Pro, a leading video production and editing software and Adobe After Effects, used for cinematic visual effects and motion graphics.
Media Arts Foundation
This course is designed to equip the Media Arts student with an overview of fundamental topics pertaining to Media Ministry in the church today. Guest speakers will present practical training and instruction on the core topics of Photography, Web Design, and Social Media, along with instruction in practical leadership and ministry philosophy.
