Theology of Worship • Scott Cunningham
Theology of Worship is an in-depth study of different passages in scripture that give us insight into the subject of the Christian’s highest calling and greatest privilege of worshipping God. It is my prayer that through this class our understanding of God…who He is and what He has done, will grow deeper, as we broaden our understanding of the subject of Worship. We will also look at how it works out practically in our lives as we see the Christian life as truly a lifestyle of Worshiping God.
Practical Theology • John Hwang
This class seeks to know and understand what the Bible teaches us about the person and work of the Holy Spirit. God is spirit and worship is spiritual; therefore, real worshippers are born of the Holy Spirit and led by the Holy Spirit in their worship of God. Our relationship with God the Holy Spirit is vital for living a life of worship and expressing genuine expressions of worship. Our approach of study is both Theological and Practical. Theologically, we will study relevant parts of the Bible to gain a clear understanding of what God says about the Holy Spirit. Practically, we want to apply the doctrines we learn in everyday, real life.
The Book of Hebrews • Mike Harris
You have chosen to embark on an analytical and practical study of one the greatest pieces of literature ever written! There is not even another book like it in the Bible. It contributes greatly in connecting the Old Testament to the New Testament, and it marvelously presents the Lord Jesus as the Messiah who is the completion of all the Old Testament hopes and program. He is God's provided object of faith who fulfills God's promises and meets all of human need. The book of Hebrews answers all religions based on works-righteousness, ancient or modern. It demonstrates the uniqueness of the Judeo-Christian Scriptures—that they are God-given and in no way merely a human production. The promises clearly spelled out in the Old Testament are connected to their fulfillment in Christ in the New Testament. What some people see as a difficult book to understand is, one that is quite clear in its overall message. Yes, there are some parts that are hard to interpret; but there are good answers. Hebrews is a book that provides assurance of a perfect salvation in the one-and-only Perfect Priest, the God-man. It encourages us and challenges us to a life of faith that pleases God and has great benefits for us. We’ll see the center of God's revelation and who should be the center of the believer's attention. In short, we want to exalt Him that we will love Him more.
Chapel • Various Speakers
Every Tuesday the entire student body meets in the morning to start the week with a short time of worship and a brief message from various guest speakers, teachers, and staff. We will be breaking into small groups for a time of fellowship, message discussion, and prayer. Students will also have the opportunity to sign up to lead worship.

History of Worship • Jasmine Alnutt
The church has been worshipping God through song for eons, and God has employed many types of people and differing styles of music in the process. As worship leaders and facilitators in the church we must understand that we are simply carrying the torch that has been passed to us for this generation to use our artistic gifts for their designed purpose, glorifying God. In this class, you will learn about some of the people that have been faithful to use the gifts entrusted to them and the genres and mediums that have been employed to do so.
Take a Hike: Songs of Ascent • Bill Welsh
The Songs of Ascents (Psalm 120-134) are a grouping of Biblical songs/poetry with an intended progression. It is believed that these inspired psalms were arranged in a purposeful fashion for at least a couple of reasons. First, they were most likely to be used by Hebrew pilgrims on their journey from their hometowns or regions as they made their way to the prescribed place of worship during several of the yearly festivals in Jerusalem, where attendance was mandatory. These were, in that sense “traveling songs.” Secondly, they were believed to have been used in the temple (and possibly tabernacle) worship once the worshippers arrived in Jerusalem. This is a collection of psalms which convey and encourage the idea of progress and personal growth. We will study each psalm with the intent of discovering the singular message in each one toward the hope that we will be helped along in our journey of discipleship. This collection of psalms takes us from the starting point of despair in Psalm 120 with it’s “Woe is me,” to the high point of celebration in Psalm 134 where, together, we all “Stand by night in the house of the Lord.” These are definitely “travel songs” for the committed disciple, thus the course name “Take A Hike.”
Audio Fundamentals • Chaz Celaya
This course is designed to teach the fundamental and practical aspects of audio systems while also discussing it's role in the ministry of the Church and the importance of being servant-hearted, so that in all things God may be glorified. We will learn about sound waves, signal path, mixing boards, equalization, microphones, effects, and lyric presentation.
Practical Servanthood • Various Speakers
There is no greater calling for a disciple of Christ than the title of “Servant”. The Servanthood class is designed to instruct and allow opportunity for the practice of servanthood in the Body of Christ. “Do not despise these small beginnings, for the LORD rejoices to see the work begin” Zech 4:10 “The master said, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities’” Matthew 25:23 “Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” 1 Corinthians 4:2
